Les DeAsis RIP

Written by

Benchmade founder Les DeAsis has passed away on february 21st following a stroke suffered a week before.

From Benchmade on Instagram:

BMI I was fortunate enough to have met Les at SHOT a few years ago, and I have to say that he was one of the nicest people you will ever meet.  It has always surprised me in this industry that the most successful people just don't have that ego that others do, despite what they have accomplished- even stranger since this industry is all about the "tough guys."

LesDeAsisLes was not just a nice guy that made me feel welcome, he was genuinely interested in who we were, what we did and I think he asked me more questions than I asked him, despite him being the celebrity.  I know that I am going to miss him, and the whole EDC industry is a bit darker this month without Les.

RIP Les- your legacy will live on at Multitool.org.
